FAQs | Getting Ready for Camp — Dutton Creek Trail Rides

The Experience

No experience is necessary. Our trail rides are beginner-friendly and designed for riders of all experience levels ages 7 and up.
Our Dutton Creek trail ride lasts approximately 90 minutes, plus time before and afterwards to take photos and interact with horses. Please allot at least two hours for your time with us.
These are relaxed walking trail rides designed to be safe and enjoyable for all experience levels.
We require long pants and closed-toe shoes or boots.
Dress for the weather, and don’t forget sunscreen or a light jacket depending on the season.
Children under 18 are required to wear a helmet - we supply these, or bring your own.

Our address is 2404 Piedra Rd, Pagosa Springs.
Please pull through the front gates and park in the lot to the left.
Trips are fully refundable up to 7 days before your scheduled ride. Cancellations within 7 days of the ride are non-refundable.
Please arrive 20-30 minutes before your scheduled ride time to check in and get matched with your horse.
Rides may continue in light weather conditions, but guest safety always comes first. If we need to cancel due to severe weather or unsafe trail conditions, guests will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Riders must be at least 7 years old to participate.
Yes. Helmets are available for all riders and required for children under 18.
Yes — as long as they are age 7 or older and are comfortable and capable of following guide instructions.
Yes. For the safety and comfort of both our horses and riders, the maximum rider weight is 220 lbs. We appreciate your understanding and honesty when booking.
